City-Wide Garage Sale to be Held Weekend of June 7th

A City-Wide garage sale will take place in Watervliet on Friday, June 7th, Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2013. THERE WILL BE NO RAIN DATES.

The City will map out and list on our website (watervliet.com – select the box “Interactive Mapping”), your address, days and hours you wish to hold the sale on your property. The normal $10 permit fee will be waived for this weekend’s sale.

All unsold items at the end of the sale must be cleared from the property according to the City’s Refuse and Recycling codes. Please do not block the public right of way (sidewalks, etc.).

If you wish to have your garage sale placed on the map and list, please contact Phyllis at 270-3800 ext. 100 no later than 3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5th. If leaving a message, please be sure to include your name, address, phone number, the day or days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or ALL) and the hours (e.g. 9 AM to 4 PM) you will be holding your sale.

Public Workshop on Bicycle Master Plan for City to be Held

The City of Watervliet will hold a public workshop on Monday, May 6th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watervliet Senior Center to discuss the bicycle infrastructure throughout the City and alternatives for the Mohawk Hudson Bike Trail. Interested parties of all ages are encouraged to attend.

2013 First Time Homebuyer Assistance Program Survey

The City of Watervliet has begun collecting the 2013 First Time Homebuyer Assistance Program Survey which gathers information from potential first time homebuyers in the City. The information received from this survey will be used to support the City's grant application in 2013.

Public Hearing for Bicycle Master Plan to be Held

The City of Watervliet along with Alta Planning and Design and the Capital District Transportation Committee will be conducting a Public Hearing on Monday May 6, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the J. Leo O’Brien Senior Citizen Facility in Watervliet.

This public hearing will be held to discuss the City of Watervliet Bicycle Master Plan from the 4^th Street Tunnel to Hudson Shores Park.
